Body & Soul: Diana & Kathy

This film is a compelling story of two extraordinary friends and advocates who defy odds and fight to live independent lives.  Diana Braun, who has down syndrome, and Kathy Conour, who has cerebral palsy, met three decades ago and began their journey that resulted in the two being known as a dynamic pair of activists in the disability movement.

Fred’s Roman Holiday

As a sequel to Fred’s Story, the film follows Fred Calabrese and his travel companions on a fascinating journey to Rome.  After once living for decades in Mansfield Training Center, Fred now starts his quest to find the office of Benito Mussolini, who has been the focus of Fred’s mysterious, lifelong fascination.  Their adventure evolves into a profound exploration of what sustains a person’s strength through years of hardship, loss of identity, and institutional control.

Come Back Jack

The Parish family realized at the age of 1 their son Jack was slowly slipping away and by age two his emotional and intellectual disability had come to a halt.  Jack was labeled as having moderate to severe autism.  With the help and guidance of a dedicated team of special educators and his parents, Jack began to emerge from his internal chaos and embrace life.  The film chronicles the extraordinary therapeutic journey of Jack and his family.
