Of course, the obvious long range answer is why is he biting others. What does he get from this behavior. What replacement behavior can you teach him that lets him communicate the same need. Less obvious is what can you do immediately to stop the biting. Remember that our job is not to stop a bad behavior but to find the communicative intent of the behavior, acknowledge the communication, then teach a replacement behavior. Have you done a functional assessment. It's hard to give suggestions without knowing some more information. I know this isn't much help for the short run. Sorry and good luck. |
