What are some of the names or descriptive terms used to identify the people you teach or train or help? For example, we refer to the people we are helping as consumers, while some places refer to them as clients. I would like to know since we are re-vamping our paperwork to reflect a societal change in terminology in our field. For instance, we are changing mental retardation to intellectual disability. All the examples you can give would be greatly appreciated. Also, we are familiar with People First Language, but we are also familiar with those organizations that believe People First Language is actually doing more harm than good. So, we need some “real” information from people working in the field day in and day out.
