Registration"A Day Long Look at Assistive Technology" will be held on June 6 & 7, 2017. Note: We have reached our capacity for the June 7 event and cannot accept any more registrations. Registrations are still being accepted for June 6. On June 6 attendees will hear how technology has positively transformed the lives of people with disabilities. People with disabilities and their families, along with leading experts, will share information about how assistive technology makes the impossible become possible. Through the implementation of assistive technology, people can gain independence in virtually all areas of their life – from home to work to relationships to recreation. Cost: $159.00 (includes lunch and snacks) During the hands-on half day event on June 7, attendees will be guided through the process of creating seven different pieces of assistive technology. All of the supplies needed to build these items are provided as part of the registration fee. In addition to taking the products they build home, attendees will be exposed to a variety of tried and true commercially available products that address common challenges faced by people with disabilities.
