June 6, 2017 Description:  

NAQ is nationally known for providing outstanding training to professionals in the field of intellectual disabilities.  This particular event, hosted by the Illinois Chapter of NAQ and other collaborative partners, will be targeted toward sharing the most current information with families, decision makers at state and provider levels, and direct support staff about how the application of technology can increase independence for people with disabilities. 

*Note:  People who register for June 6, 2017 are invited to participate in a social that evening at the convention center. 

June 7, 2017 Description:

Attendees will be guided through the process of creating several pieces of assistive technology for people they support.  In addition to taking the products they build home, they will learn about low cost commercially available assistive technologies that have proven successful for many people.
